Cedar Hill Residential was hired to manage the renovation and expansion of a single-family home in West Medford. The project involved the renovation of the basement, first and second floor of a colonial house across from Playstead Park. Additionally, we added a second floor addition above an existing study to create a master bathroom and we “took the roof off” and added a dormered third floor to provide additional bedrooms. Zoning ordinances created challenges to adding the 3rd floor living space, but the creative solution of having living space at the front of the house and a roof deck at the backside of the 3rd floor turned a challenge into an asset, as the owners frequently use the top floor deck.
